The official website of the Summertime Render (Summer Time Rendering) anime revealed on Tuesday additional staff members, opening theme artist, and a second promotional teaser. The 25-episode anime is scheduled to premiere on April 15 at 12:00 a.m. on Tokyo MX and BS11, followed by Kansai TV. The anime will be streaming worldwide on Disney+.

J-rock group Macaroni Empitsu (Dragon Quest: Dai no Daibouken (2020)) is performing the first opening theme “Hoshi ga Oyogu,” which is previewed in the teaser promo below.
Ayumu Watanabe (Komi-san wa, Comyushou desu. chief director) is helming the anime at animation studio OLM, with Hiroshi Seko (Jujutsu Kaisen (TV)) handling the series composition and script. Miki Matsumoto (Satsuriku no Tenshi) is designing the characters. Keiichi Okabe (Yuuki Yuuna wa Yuusha de Aru), Ryuuichi Takada (Saihate no Paladin), and Keigo Hoashi (Concrete Revolutio: Choujin Gensou) are composing the music.
The anime adapts Yasunori Tanaka’s sci-fi mystery manga, which is based on Tanaka’s 2008 one-shot Jamais Vu, and began in Shounen Jump+ in October 2017. The manga ended on February 1 last year. Shueisha shipped the 13th and final volume on April 2.
The publisher’s Manga Plus platform simulpublished the series alongside the Japanese release. Udon Entertainment licensed the manga in English on December 7 and will release the series in print.
