Theatrical version of the anime “Jujutsu Kaisen” based on Gege Akutami’s manga serialized in “Weekly Shonen Jump (Shueisha) Theatrical Version Jujutsu Kaisen 0 (Director Sunghoo Park). It turned out that the box office revenue of Gege Akutami exceeded 13.5 billion yen. The successive box office revenue rankings ranked 15th, along with “ET,” “Armageddon,” and “Harry Potter and the Prisoners of Azkaban.”
The movie version is based on Jujutsu Kaisen 0 Tokyo Metropolitan College of Magic in Volume 0 of the original comic, which is the day before “Jujutsu Kaisen”. In 2017, all four episodes were published in the special edition “Jump GIGA” of “Weekly Shonen Jump”. In an episode in which Yuji Itadori’s first grade senior generation appears, Satoru Gojo transfers a high school student, Yuta Otobone, who wants his own death penalty, to the Metropolitan Jujutsu College. Megumi Ogata acts as the voice actor for Otobone, and MAPPA produces it as in the TV anime.
Jujutsu Kaisen has been serialized in the same magazine since 2018. The story is that when the seal of the powerful curse is broken, high school student Yuji Itadori will throw himself into the world of battle over the curse. The first period of TV animation was broadcast from October 2020 to March 2021. The second period will be broadcast in 2023.
