Last Sunday had episode 1004 of ONE PIECE, and we got more great animation for the last episode of 2021 and Oden’s inherited will. The episode started with Yamato continuing to chase Momonosuke and Shinobu, with the 2 still reluctant to trust the self-proclaimed Oden. Then we see Black Maria begin to play the shamisen. That’s when the main focus of the episode begins as the Akazaya Nine engage Kaido.
We see each of them has their own style, and they get to show it off in beautiful animation. Kaido still underestimates them and repeats that they are nothing like Oden. Then we get a flashback to the times Oden tried to teach them his Two-Sword style. They couldn’t agree who deserved to inherit it. They pretended to not care, while an annoyed Oden still tried. However, they listened carefully, and they end up surprising Kaido with a Paradise Totsuka of their own.

ONE PIECE has been incredible in 2021. The anime celebrated its 22nd anniversary, and we also had the awesome WE ARE ONE video collection. ONE PIECE FILM RED was announced, and the franchise celebrated both its episode 1000 and chapter 1000. Yamato was introduced, which also brought Hayami Saori into the anime. There were many more news for ONE PIECE, and you can catch up to everything.
ONE PIECE Episode 1005
You can watch episode 1004 of the ONE PIECE anime on either Funimation or Crunchyroll. Episode 1005’s title is “Special Episode: Barto’s Secret Room”, and it looks like it will be a recap episode narrated by Bartolomeo. In addition, the episode on January 9, 2022 will feature the new opening by I Don’t Like Mondays. In the meanwhile, you can catch up to the latest One Piece manga chapter for free on either VIZ website or MANGA Plus. Chapter 1035 will release on Sunday at midnight JST.
