Top 10 Comedy Animes You Must Watch 2022

In terms of style and plot, comedy anime is diverse. Some are parodies of overdone anime clichés, while others combine humour with action. Each program offers something unique to the table, and no two hilarious anime are alike. These funny comedies are easy to fall in love with after just a few episodes.

List Of Top 10 Comedy Animes Below:

Number 10:
Name:
FLCL (1 Season 6 Episodes)

Top 10 Comedy FLCL Anime Visual

FLCL is the closest thing an anime series will ever come to being a work of literature. As fast-paced as it is, the plot beautifully portrays the subject of maturity and is accompanied by stunning visuals that I have yet to see surpassed. Many people have commented on how difficult it is to follow the plot because of its speed as well as all of the symbols, motifs, and speech that aren’t revealed until the very end. I’ve never seen foil characters like Amarao and Ninamori played as such a lovely literary complement to the main character Naota’s journey into adulthood in any anime before. This series strikes the appropriate combination of seriousness and hilarity in my opinion. It makes you laugh, think, pump you up, impresses you with its aesthetics, presents an elegant story with a superb blend of science fiction and real life, and does everything a good story should. When you add in a soundtrack that is almost entirely composed of The Pillows’ songs, you have yourself an outstanding film.

Number 9:
Name:
Barakamon (1 Season 12 Episodes)

Top 10 Comedy Barakamon Anime Visual

Barakamon is a masterpiece. It’s more than simply calligraphy, though, since words alone can’t express the true essence and discovery of Barakamon. For example, the show is set on an island and revolves around a young man named Seishuu Handa. Coming from a more urban background, his life is forever changed when he discovers his new home on Goto’s natural island. Of course, after delivering a sucker blow to an elder curator, this does not happen. When someone throws a fit like that, it’s obvious to predict that there will be consequences. But can we really call a trip to Goto Island a result of this? Perhaps this is the start of Seishuu Handa’s new life.
This show is disturbingly satisfying, especially if you’ve had a particularly exhausting day. Its simplicity will distract you from your worries. And, while we’re on the subject of living, we get to observe how people live on the island of Goto. It’s entertaining for Seishu, with a slew of new discoveries he makes in his new existence. However, as a present to the viewers, you will learn a lot more than simply about the island and its residents. You’ll come across an honest show about a colourful cast of characters who are judged on their own merits. And, to be honest, it’s well worth the time.

Number 8:
Name:
Punch Line (1 Season 12 Episodes)

Top 10 Comedy Punch Line Anime Visual

It’s more of a misadventure in Punch Line. Yuuta’s daily life is depicted in the series, which includes ghosts, time travel, idols, terrorism, tragedies, heroes, and, of course, panties. While most shows utilize it as a marketing gimmick, Punch Line employs it as a story element. When Yuuta sees panties, his nose bleeds excessively. Then there’s the whole huge apocalypse that he brings with him in the form of a meteoroid crashing with the Earth. While this arrangement appears to be deadly, it is largely used for laughs in the first few episodes. The show then decides to mix things up a little with some shocking revelations later on.

Number 7:
Name:
Plastic Neesan (1 Season 12 Episodes)

Top 10 Comedy Plastic Neesan Anime Visual

It’s about three female closest friends who are so close that insulting and being nasty to any of them for a second is perfectly normal for them. Their connection is immaculate as a result of it, as well as how casual the characters are with each other. It’s easy to associate it with some of your closest friends, where you push the jokes to the limit and insulting each other is all in good fun.
Plastic Nee-San manages to create an entire cast of characters with amazing chemistry in just half an hour, and you’ll be grinning from start to finish, if at all. Even when minor characters are introduced, their purpose is apparent, and they complement the main ones without ever taking over the scene. While some may dismiss the show as nothing more than a collection of physical gags, you’ll likely grow to appreciate the distinct personalities of all the characters to an extent that is surprising for a show of such brief duration.

Number 6:
Name:
The Way of the Househusband (2 Seasons 10 Episodes)

Top 10 Comedy The Way of the Househusband Anime Visual

Gokushufudou is a truly incredible show. It’s a wonderful comedy that sets itself up perfectly every time. The Yakuza scenario is very attractive, and there are many parallels to be drawn from the Yakuza gaming series. Something about the seriousness of the environment combined with the monotony, if not an outright absurdity, of everyday existence creates such a fantastic combo.
The characters are also a major addition to this comedy. Every comedy is more than just a series of gags on a screen; you fall in love with characters because of how they’re written, and Gokushufudou is no exception. Tatsu is, without a question, the show’s star, but Miku and Masa deserve special mention. Despite being a simple comedy, a few important moments show a Tatsu and Miku connection that is far more filled out and loving than the majority of other comedy animes.

Number 5:
Name:
Great Teacher Onizuka (1 Season 43 Episodes)

Top 10 Comedy Great Teacher Onizuka Anime Visual

The majority of the series follows Onizuka as he earns the trust of his class, which had been traumatized by a previous teacher. At first, no one trusts him, and they do everything they can to get rid of him. His bike-gang experience and pure guts, on the other hand, show that he will go to any length to earn the trust of his kids. His lectures go much beyond the textbook, whether it’s about family issues or relationships. The show follows Onizuka through his “trials,” in which students seek to disgrace him or get him fired one by one. This is a viewpoint that I have yet to see well utilized by another show. Expect a lot of stress as well as a lot of hilarious events. The show builds to a huge final climax, which is handled perfectly. Overall, the show has a really warm and positive vibe to it, as if it’s urging us to believe in humanity.

Number 4:
Name:
Saiki Kusuo no Ψ-nan

Top 10 Comedy Saiki Kusuo no Ψ-nan Anime Visual

The main character, Saiki, takes being overpowered to a whole new level in a humorous way. He’s essentially a god-level psychic who can perform any task. He’s intelligent, has x-ray vision, time travel, the ability to alter the laws of the universe, telepathy, teleportation, memory wiping, and there’s virtually nothing this guy can’t do. The story follows him in his daily life as he deals with ordinary people as an extraordinarily superior entity. He’s a sarcastic character who is constantly making a hilarious internal commentary about the annoying occurrences that occur throughout the anime.
This is a fantastic anime that succeeds in a variety of areas and does practically everything well. The best part is that it seems to gradually add more and more to the world as it develops, but in such a way that the idea does not get repetitive or monotonous, and it often happens when you least expect it. Everything and everyone develops, and not simply in a linear fashion. The humor lining the series is beautifully set up, but it isn’t endless joke after joke. This anime has a lot of worth, and I’d recommend it to anyone who wants to see it for themselves. I’m excited to see where it goes next!

Number 3:
Name:
Daily Lives of High School Boy (1 Season 12 Episodes)

Top 10 Comedy Daily Lives of High School Boy Anime Visual

Daily Lives of High School Boys. That’s all there is to it. It’s a typical slice-of-life scenario, but it’s one that works incredibly well. The episodes are broken up into segments and focus on a large variety of individuals, each with their own quirks, as they go about their daily lives. It’s not easy to convey something so simple in a humorous way, and I believe that most animes that attempt to do so wind up with dull, boring parts that break the mood. DKN manages to avoid this in virtually every scene, which is rather remarkable, and even in its worst episode, you’ll find yourself laughing out loud several times.
If you’re looking for a good laugh, I recommend you give it a try. Every episode I’ve watched has at least one or two sketches that are both humorous and memorable, in my opinion. Furthermore, I’m sure you can relate to them in some way to your high school experience, but it won’t be as extreme or humorous as in this series. This is the first time I’ve seen an anime where each episode is separated into multiple skits, and I enjoy it. This is something I would gladly suggest to anyone. Overall, this event is a lot of fun and well worth your time.

Name:
Grand Blue (1 Season 12 Episodes)

Top 10 Comedy Grand Blue Anime Visual

Although many other characters are featured with Iori, Grand Blue’s storytelling focuses primarily on his day-to-day exploits. The diving club, also known as the “Peek-a-Boo,” makes up the majority of the cast. Chisa, Nanaka, Kouhei, Azusa, Toshio, and Kotobuki are some of the people he meets. The male cast appears to be more interested in drinking than diving among this group. As we meet the primary members in the first episode, the fun is instantly set off with nakedness and adult jokes. That is to say, Iori lacks common sense when he shows up half-naked to his first day at college. Just from this first impression, it should be clear that the show enjoys making fun of its characters. It makes fun of college life by using clichés such as young adults drinking and partying. Then there’s meta-humor, which plays with the nudity of jokes. It’s also self-aware, as it never tries to hide its sense of humor. Certain characters, like Chisa, are acutely aware of their acts regardless of the consequences, and this frequently enrages others. Overall, Grand Blue is just a stellar anime and a perfect cleansing anime after a long day’s work.

Number 1:
Name:
Konosuba (2 Season 20 Episodes)

Top 10 Comedy Konosuba Anime Visual

On paper, the show appears to be the pretty standard we see in light novel adaptations. Kazuma is a hikikomori who ends up dead while attempting to save a girl. I’m sure we’ve all heard something like this before. Soon after, he meets Aqua, a goddess, and is offered the opportunity to be reincarnated in his current body, complete with memories and a quest to defeat the Demon King. The first episode quickly introduces the plot’s main points, and it’s quite straightforward. That is until you realize that the show appears to be a parody of itself.
