The announcement was made in the official Twitter account of the anime ‘Edens Zero’ along with the 2nd teaser visual of the anime.
Edens Zero
The anime is adapted from the manga Edens Zero written by Hiro Mashima (creator of Fairy Tail).Edens Zero takes place in the grand Shiki cosmos, divided into four more cosmos representing each season. The sakura cosmos (representing the spring season), the aoi cosmos (representing the summer season), the kaede cosmos (representing the autumn season) and the yukino cosmos (representing the winter season).
The shiki cosmos is a space-raring fictional universe which is inhabited by humans, aliens and robots. It is also a home to many cosmic entities. All the technology in the series is run by a magical item called ether.
One of the technology is called b-cube, which allows them to record a video and upload it on a platform and the other item is called ether gear which is a powerful weapon granting the users to use of superhuman-like powers.
Shiki Granbell is a human Ether Gear user who lives among robots on the planet Granbell, a deserted theme park world in the Sakura Cosmos. One day, the park is visited by two space-traveling B-Cubers – Rebecca Bluegarden and her robotic cat companion Happy – whom Shiki befriends while they are recording videos for their online account, Aoneko Channel.
After the park’s robots force them off the planet to save Shiki from being stranded before their batteries die, the three set out to explore the universe by searching for Mother, the fabled goddess of the cosmos. In the process, Shiki acquires the interstellar warship Edens Zero as inheritance from his grandfather figure, the mechanical Demon King Ziggy, who captained the ship during a previous voyage for Mother.
The manga came out in 2018 and was followed by an anime adaptation which aired from April 2021 to October 2021. It was announced in February 2022 that the anime will be having its second season and on 17 August 2023 it was further announced that the anime will be broadcasting it’s second season on 2023.
