Ghibli

Ghibli Theme Park

Everyone loves Studio Ghibli, not to mention their successful Museum opening in Inokashira Park in Mitaka, whereas they are yet to open another Ghibli Theme Park in Nagakute City.

Finally, Ghibli Theme Park will be situated at EXPO Aichi Commemorative Park in Nagakute City, Japan. The location is surrounded by natural elements like trees and a fresh green environment. Perfect for strolling around under the clear skies.

Although there are no thrilling amusement rides, you are still able to stroll around the park and see the iconic recreations and symbols of Studio Ghibli. As a matter of fact, Miyazaki has firmly requested that no trees shall be cut down during the process of building the park. For the purpose of conserving mother Earth.

The park will have five definite themed areas from the famous anime films many have watched. The first areas that will open in November will be Ghibli’s Grand Warehouse, Hill of Youth, and Dondoko. And then will be followed by Mononoke’s Village and the Valley of Witches.

To The Ghibli Theme Park

These iconic architectures from famous Ghibli films will make you book your next trip to Ghibli Theme Park. As we impatiently await the Grand Opening in November, without a doubt, let’s take a sneak peek at what we are yet to see.

 Ghibli’s Grand Warehouse

Ghibli Warehouse will be on the old site of a swimming pool. These will consist of Japanese mixed Western-style architecture, involving an exhibition room, playing areas, shopping stands, and cafes. They will partake indoors, so in spite of the rainy seasons, you can enjoy this attraction.

 Hill of the Youth

Based on Howl’s Moving Castle, you will be able to find a yellow gate along with an observation tower and the 19th-century ideas from the film. In addition to this, you are also to find a gift shop from Whisper of the Heart and some elements from The Cat Returns.

 Dondoko Forest

Surrounded by garden-fresh forests, this resembles the landscape during the Showa Period (1926-1989). In the iconic film, ‘My Neighbour Totoro’ you will be able to see Satsuki and Mei’s house. The rural area will be similar to the ones shown in films. Furthermore, this will be released along with Hill of Youth and Ghibli’s Grand Warehouse on November 1st.

 Mononoke’s Village

Coming from one of the top films, Princess Mononoke, it is a whole recreation for Tatara-ba (Irontown). The whole attraction is like a portal teleporting you back to the Muromachi Period hundreds of years ago (1336-1573). It is protected by lakes and high walls, spirit monsters, and God Lords.

 Valley of Witches

Finally, the architecture and building from here are based on Howl’s Moving Castle and Kiki’s Delivery Service. Moreover, the castle and Kiki’s family home as well as the bakery, will be recreated just like the one in the films. While checking out the buildings, you are free to buy from the bakery as well. In reality, the castle will look more realistic than it is.
