Shiori Mikami Appointed as Tourism Ambassador to Aomori City

Voice actress Shiori Mikami was appointed as a tourism ambassador to Aomori City of Aomori Prefecture in Japan on May 24. She is from the prefecture and is the city’s 16th tourism ambassador.

She updated her Twitter account with a tweet “I’m pleased to be appointed as a tourism ambassador to Aomori City!” with a photo with Aomori City’s mayor Akihiko Onodera. Shiori Mikami holds the letter of appointment in her hands, while Akihiko Onodera holds a Shikishi paperboard that shows the voice actress’s autograph addressed to him with her message “I will keep working hard for Aomori!!“.

Shiori Mikami’s tweet on her appointment as a tourism ambassador to Aomori City

The tweet also states that she has been doing work related to promotional activities of Aomori for the past 10 years and that the appointment was one of her dreams. The voice actress states that she will do her best to share her love of Aomori with the people.

The mayor’s tweet mentions that her appearance at the city’s PR program “Same Feeling” led to the appointment.

The mayor of Aomori city shared comments and photos of Shiori Mikami’s appointment as a tourism ambassador.

The voice actress is known for the role of Akari Akaza in the Yuru Yuri series and Historia Reiss/Krista Lenz in the Attack on Titan series. She voiced Ayumi Togeguchi in Akebi’s Sailor Uniform last season.
