Komi Can’t Communicate Season 2 to End Next Week in Japan

Komi Can’t Communicate Season 2 is ending next week, on June 22, with episode 24 (12) as revealed on the TBS website’s listing. The episode is listed as the 24th episode, but is technically the 12th episode of the season, as the first 12 aired in the first half of Komi Can’t Communicate anime, which aired in the Fall 2021 anime season.

Netflix is streaming the anime worldwide as one of its exclusives but is 3 weeks behind the Japanese release schedule. Studio OLM is directing the adaptation of the highly popular manga by Tomohito Oda. The final episode of the season will mark the end of the first year in high school for Komi Can’t Communicate characters.

Kazuki Kawagoe is directing, with Ayumu Watanabe who is credited as the chief director. Deko Akao is overseeing the series composition, while Yukari Hashimoto is composing the music. 

The story follows Tadano, who starts high school and meets his classmate Komi. Komi is beautiful and everyone looks up to her – but she suffers from debilitating social anxiety. Tadano somehow clicks with her and manages to slowly help her make friends. Her goal is to make 100 of them, which might prove to be difficult as their high school is full of peculiar characters. The main cast includes Aoi Koga, who is voicing Shoko Komi, Gakuto Kajiwara asHitohito Tadano, her interpreter, friend, and love interest. Rie Murakawa is everybody’s childhood friend – Najimi Osana.
