The Konosuba RPG game from Entergram has been delayed to September 29 from the initial July 28 release. The game’s full title is Kono Subarashii Sekai ni Shukufuku o!: Noroi no Ibutsu to Madoishi Bokensha-tachi (Konosuba – God’s Blessing on This Wonderful World!: The Cursed Relic and the Delusional Adventurers) and it will be available on PlayStation and Nintendo Switch. It is a sequel to the Kono Subarashii Sekai ni Shukufuku o! ~Kibo no Meikyū Tsudoi Shi Bokensha-tachi~ game.
Another game from the Konosuba franchise is the mobile game Konosuba: Fantastic Days, which was released globally on August 19, 2020. It is available on both Android and iOS devices. The mobile game has also seen anime collaborations with the DanMachi series and Mushoku Tensei.
Recently, two new Konosuba anime projects were announced – the third season of the TV anime as well as a spin-off that focuses on Megumin. Studio Drive is animating both projects. The franchise is based on a light novel series written by Natsume Akatsuki and illustrated by Kurone Mishima.
Yen Press has licensed the series in English and describes the plot as:
Game loving shut-in Kazuma Sato’s life as a young schoolboy in Japan abruptly comes to an early end…or at least it was supposed to. When he opens his eyes, though, he sees a beautiful goddess that offers him a once in an after-lifetime chance to be reborn in a parallel world. The catch is that the world is violent and threatened by a growing evil! Fortunately, he can choose any one thing to bring with him. So he chooses the goddess, Aqua! And so his adventure with his gorgeous companion begins–if he could just get enough money and food to survive, keep his goddess out of trouble, and avoid grabbing the attention of the Demon King’s army!
