With much anticipation, the official website for the upcoming television anime adaptation of Koume Fujichika’s heartwarming manga, The Girl I Like Forgot Her Glasses (Suki na Ko ga Megane wo Wasureta), unveiled a plethora of exciting details on Tuesday.

Along with the show’s first promotional video, fans were treated to a stunning key visual that captures the essence of the charming story. The website also announced that the anime is set to premiere in July, much to the delight of eager fans.

But that’s not all – the cast and staff for the show were also revealed, adding to the buzz surrounding the highly anticipated series. With such exciting news, fans of manga and anime enthusiasts alike can hardly contain their excitement for this heartwarming tale to hit their screens.

Story

With a mix of nervousness and excitement, Komura eagerly walked into his homeroom on the first day of the new school year. As he made his way to his desk, he noticed that he had a new seat neighbor – a bespectacled girl named Mie. From the moment he laid eyes on her, Komura was smitten with Mie’s quirky personality and forgetful nature when it came to her glasses. As days turned into weeks, Komura found himself growing more and more infatuated with his classmate, relishing the moments when they were up close and personal in their shared space. But as his heart raced with each passing day, Komura began to wonder if he could handle the daily strain of being so close to the girl he liked. Despite the challenges, however, Komura remained determined to get to know Mie better, and hoped that his crush would soon be reciprocated.

Staff

Susumu Kudo and Katsumasa Yokomine are leading the production of the anime at GoHands, with Tamazō Yanagi as a scriptwriter and Shingo Suzuki as a concept artist. Takayuki Uchida is the character designer and Hiroshi Okubo is the main animator, while Keiji Tani, Makoto Furuta, and Takayuki Uchida are serving as chief animation directors. Hisashi Muramatsu is in charge of sound direction at Glovision and Jimmy Thumb P is composing the music at Flying Dog.
