TMS Entertainment has unveiled an English-subtitled trailer for the second season of Baki Hanma, the anime adaptation of Keisuke Itagaki’s Hanma Baki – Son of Ogre manga. The trailer reveals the second season’s theme song, “Maximum the Hormone” by Maximum the Hormone, and previews the new cast members. The anime will premiere worldwide on Netflix on July 26, with the “Tale of Pickle & The Pickle War Saga” story. The “The Father VS Son Saga” story will debut on August 24.
Wagakki Band and UPSTART to Perform Theme Songs for Baki Hanma Season 2
Wagakki Band and UPSTART have been announced as the performers of the opening and ending theme songs for the second season of the Netflix anime adaptation of Keisuke Itagaki’s Hanma Baki – Son of Ogre manga.
Wagakki Band will perform the opening theme song “The Beast.” The song is a powerful rock anthem that perfectly captures the intensity of the Baki Hanma series.
UPSTART will perform the ending theme song “WILDER.” The song is a beautiful ballad that provides a moment of calm and reflection after the action-packed episodes of Baki Hanma.
Baki Hanma New Cast
Takeshi Kusao and Nobuo Tobita have joined the cast of Baki Hanma, the upcoming second season of the Netflix anime adaptation of Keisuke Itagaki’s Hanma Baki – Son of Ogre manga.
Kusao will voice Pickle, a warrior from a bygone, primitive age who was awakened from cryogenic sleep by Dr. Albert Payne. Tobita will voice Dr. Payne, a scientist who is obsessed with creating the ultimate warrior.

The second season of Baki Hanma is directed by Toshiki Hirano and features animation by TMS Entertainment. The series is produced by Netflix and Shogakukan.
The first season of Baki Hanma premiered on Netflix in September 2021. The series follows Baki Hanma, a young man who is training to become the strongest martial artist in the world. Baki must face off against a variety of powerful opponents, including his own father, Yuujiro Hanma.
The new anime adaptation of Keisuke Itagaki’s Baki (New Grappler Baki: In Search of Our Strongest Hero) manga debuted on Netflix in Japan on June 25, 2018. The first season ran for 26 episodes and ended on December 22, 2018. The first 13 episodes of the anime were released outside of Japan on December 18, 2018. The second half of the season was released on March 4, 2019. The anime has been praised for its action sequences and its faithfulness to the manga. It has also been criticized for its violence and its over-the-top nature.
